1. Are your wine tours private?
Yes. Your tour is exclusively for your group, with a personalized itinerary shaped around your wine preferences, occasion and pace.
2. Which wine regions can we visit?
We arrange private tours in Healdsburg and Sonoma County, including Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley.
3. Can you help us choose wineries?
Yes. Tell us which wines you enjoy and the kind of day you have in mind. We help select wineries, coordinate the route and arrange visits in advance, including smaller producers and boutique tasting experiences.
4. How do I request a tour?
Use our reservation form, call 707-849-0503 or email healdsburgwinetours@gmail.com. Share your preferred date, number of guests and wine preferences so we can start planning your day.
5. What is included in my private wine tour?
Your hourly tour rate includes private transportation for your group, a dedicated local driver, personalized itinerary planning, winery recommendations and help coordinating your day. The rate does not include winery tasting fees, meals, wine purchases or gratuity. Tasting fees are set by each winery and are paid directly to the winery. They currently average about $40 to $60 per guest for four to nine tastes, and some wineries may waive or reduce the fee with a qualifying wine purchase. A separate $100 non-refundable reservation fee is required to secure your tour date and is charged in addition to the hourly rate. Gratuity is always at your discretion.
6. How long is a typical wine tour?
Most tours last between five and seven hours. We can customize the schedule to fit your plans, preferred pace and winery appointments.
7. Do you make winery reservations?
Yes. We can help create your itinerary and arrange winery reservations based on your wine preferences, group size and budget.
8. Which wineries will we visit?
We recommend wineries based on your interests, including boutique producers, well-known estates, scenic properties and wineries specializing in your favorite varietals.
9. How many wineries can we visit?
Most guests comfortably visit three wineries during a full-day tour. The final number depends on tasting times, travel distance and lunch plans.
10. Where will you pick us up?
We can arrange pickup from hotels, vacation rentals and other agreed-upon locations in the Healdsburg and Sonoma County area.
11. Can you pick us up outside Healdsburg?
Pickup outside the local service area may be available for an additional charge. Contact us with your pickup location for availability and a quote.
12. Can we bring food or drinks in the vehicle?
Please ask when booking. Policies may vary depending on the vehicle and the type of food or beverage.
13. Do you provide lunch?
We can help arrange a winery picnic, restaurant reservation or stop at a local market. Food and restaurant costs are normally separate.
14. What type of vehicle do you offer?
Travel comfortably in a private vehicle. Please share your group size when booking so we can confirm it is the right fit for your party.
15. Can you accommodate large groups?
Large-group arrangements may be available depending on group size and vehicle availability. Contact us with the number of guests so we can discuss the best option.
16. Is there a minimum age for wine tours?
Guests must be at least 21 years old to participate in wine tastings. Valid government-issued identification is required.
17. What should we wear?
Wine-country casual clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended. Layers are helpful because temperatures can change throughout the day.
18. How far in advance should we book?
Booking early is recommended, especially for weekends, holidays and harvest season. Popular wineries may fill up several weeks in advance.
